Drug-Free Punjab: 208 raids conducted across the province, including Lahore, on drug dealers' hideouts within 24 hours

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, as part of the Drug-Free Punjab vision, a total of 208 raids were conducted on drug dealers’ hideouts across the province, including Lahore, within 24 hours. During the operations, 115 drug dealers were arrested and cases were registered against them. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the raids, 63 kilograms of charas, 4 kilograms of ice (methamphetamine), 1,119 liters of liquor, 6 kilograms of heroin, and other narcotics were recovered from the possession of the accused. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers be continued. He instructed officers to ensure the dismantling of the drug supply chain and the arrest of those involved in online drug trafficking. Intelligence-based operations around educational institutions and hostels must be further intensified.
