IG Punjab reviewed Security Arrangements at Inter-Provincial Patrolling Check Post Haroon Rasheed Kundal Check Post in Mianwali

Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited district Mianwali. IG Punjab reached the inter-provincial patrolling check post Haroon Rasheed Kundal in Mianwali, where he reviewed the security arrangements. IG Punjab also conducted a detailed review of the border entry and exit points and sensitive locations. He thoroughly inspected the security measures, personnel, weaponry, ammunition, bunkers, and bulletproof vehicles at the check posts, and paid tribute to the personnel for performing their duties under difficult circumstances.
Later, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar arrived at Makarwal, where he met the officers and personnel who had, a few days earlier, sent 10 Khawarji terrorists to hell. After meeting them, IG Punjab appreciated their success in foiling the attack by Kharijite terrorists and awarded them with commendations and cash prizes. IG Punjab, accompanied by Additional IG CTD, also reviewed the bunkers at Police Station Makarwal. RPO Sargodha gave IG Punjab a detailed briefing about the ongoing intelligence-based operations against Khawarji terrorists.
While addressing the officers and personnel, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police is facing challenges of terrorism at inter-provincial border check posts, due to which, on the directions of the Government of Punjab, the infrastructure, boundary walls, and bunkers at the check posts are being further strengthened. IG Punjab directed that personnel must remain alert at all times to deal with emergency situations and continue intelligence-based operations to eliminate terrorists. He further said that the morale of Punjab Police personnel is extremely high and cowardly terrorist attacks cannot weaken them. He said that Punjab Police has achieved unprecedented successes against Khawarji terrorists, and that the personnel deployed at tri-border police stations and check posts are alert and stand as a wall of steel against terrorists. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government and the Armed Forces, will carry out operations against terrorists in difficult mountainous areas, for which border area police check posts are being further strengthened and equipped with facilities. On this occasion, Additional IG CTD Waseem Sial, RPO Sargodha Region Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan, DPO Mianwali Captain (R) Muhammad Ajmal, former DPO Akhtar Farooq, along with other senior officers, were also present.
