A review meeting regarding the Annual Development Program was held at the Central Police Office, Lahore, under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. During the meeting, AIG Development Muhammad Abdullah Lak gave a detailed briefing on the use of supplementary grants for the completion of development projects. He briefed that under the Annual Development Programme, an allocation of Rs. 5 million per unit has been made for the construction of SDPO offices.
IG Punjab commended the Multan, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur regions for their excellent performance in the completion of development projects under the ADP. He instructed that all development projects funded through supplementary grants must be completed by June 30 at all costs. While addressing the officers, IG Punjab said that Punjab Police ranks first among all departments in the timely utilization of development funds. He added that Saiban (shelters) will be constructed in Chung, Raiwind, and Kahna, and that 220 Saiban shelters will be completed next year. He further announced that the Safe Cities Project will be extended to all 144 tehsils of Punjab.
IG Punjab directed officers to ensure that construction work for Smart Police Stations, Safe Cities initiatives, and check posts is completed within the stipulated timelines. During the meeting, all RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs, along with other concerned officers, assured their commitment to completing the development projects within the given timeframe. The meeting was attended via video link by Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, DIG Admin Lahore, DIG Operations Lahore, and other relevant officers.
