Two more brave sons of Punjab Police have laid down their lives in the line of duty. According to details, ASI Ghulam Shabbir and Constable Ghulam Fareed of Police Station Saddar Taunsa, Dera Ghazi Khan, were martyred during an encounter with dacoits. Both officers embraced martyrdom while bravely confronting the criminals. Upon receiving information about the presence of dacoits at Daira Shah Pul, the police reached the scene, and as soon as the criminals saw the police party, they opened direct fire. As a result of the firing, ASI Ghulam Shabbir and Constable Ghulam Fareed were martyred. Upon receiving information about the incident, DPO Dera Ghazi Khan Syed Ali reached the spot. Following this, the area was cordoned off and a search operation for the culprits was launched. Teams have been formed for the arrest of the dacoits, who will be apprehended soon. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of ASI Ghulam Shabbir and Constable Ghulam Fareed. Dr. Usman Anwar said that in this hour of grief, we stand with the families of the martyrs. He further said that the families of the martyrs will not be left alone, and their welfare and well-being will be fully ensured.
