On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the process of regular and time-scale promotions of police employees is ongoing. As part of this process, 49 Class-IV employees of CTD Punjab have been granted time-scale promotions. The promoted employees include 38 office staff, 8 gardeners, 1 dispatch rider (Naib Qasid), 1 sanitary worker, and 1 cook (Langari). Punjab Police spokesperson said that CTD has issued a notification for the promotion of these employees under the time-scale policy. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that steps for the time-scale and regular promotions of employees are being taken on a priority basis. The fundamental right of departmental promotion is being given to all employees without delay, based on merit and seniority. Dr. Usman Anwar further directed that unit heads must ensure the regular holding of their promotion board meetings.
