Crackdown on Illegally Residing Foreign Nationals Continues at a Rapid Pace.

Punjab Police’s crackdown on illegally residing foreign nationals is continuing rapidly, under which 10,985 such individuals, including Afghans, have been deported from across the province, including Lahore. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that during the campaign, more than 11,643 illegally residing individuals have been shifted to holding centers, while 658 are currently present at holding points.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, 5 holding centers have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province. IG Punjab said that the policy of deporting illegally residing individuals is being implemented in accordance with international laws, and security is on high alert. He further said that the deportation of all illegally residing individuals will be ensured, and human rights are being fully considered during the process of deportation.
Dr. Usman Anwar instructed CCPO Lahore, RPOs, and DPOs to expedite the process of deporting illegally residing foreign nationals. IG Punjab further added that the identification of illegally residing foreign nationals is being carried out through the Special Branch, CTD, security agencies, and intelligence-based information.
