Drug-Free Punjab: 211 Raids Conducted on Drug Dealers’ dens across the province.
During 24 Hours, 13 Drug Dealers Arrested, FIRs Registered: Punjab Police Spokesperson
On the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, 211 raids were carried out during the last 24 hours on drug dealers’ dens across the province, including Lahore, as part of the Drug-Free Punjab vision. A total of 113 drug dealers were arrested and FIRs were registered.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that 48 kilograms of charas, 3 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), and 1,109 liters of liquor, along with heroin and other narcotics, were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed for further acceleration of special operations against drug dealers and smugglers. Issuing instructions to the officers, IG Punjab emphasized ensuring the dismantling of the drug supply chain and the arrest of those involved in online drug transactions. He further ordered that intelligence-based operations around educational institutions and hostels be intensified.
