Officers of the 37th Senior Management Course Visit Central Police Office
Delegation from National Institute of Public Administration Islamabad Includes 18 Officers from Various Government Service Groups
Officers participating in the 37th Senior Management Course visited the Central Police Office. The delegation from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Islamabad, comprised 18 officers belonging to various government service groups. Additional IG Training Punjab, Tariq Rustam Chohan, met with the delegation. On this occasion, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir and AIG Training Hassan Iqbal were also present.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir briefed the delegation on the challenges faced by Punjab Police, its operational framework, and strategic policies. The delegation was also informed about law and order, crime control, operations, investigations, traffic management, and public service delivery. He said that Punjab Police faces challenges related to terrorism, law and order, and urban policing. DIG Operations Waqas Nazir further mentioned that infrastructure development, crime record and human resource management systems, and IT reforms have led to improvements in services.
Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chohan said that Punjab Police is focused on prompt registration of cases, specialized investigations, and technology-based training. He added that Police Khidmat Marakaz (Service Centers), Tahaffuz & Meesaq Centers are unique public service projects across Pakistan. He further said that there has been a significant increase in welfare initiatives for police personnel and their families, including healthcare, higher education, and other welfare measures.
Additional IG Training and DIG Operations Punjab responded to various questions asked regarding police working, infrastructure development, and professional challenges. Souvenirs were also exchanged between Additional IG Training Punjab and the visiting delegation.
