IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Chaired Meeting at Central Police Office

IG Punjab Reviews Performance of Police Khidmat Marakaz, Driving & Licensing Centers, and Implementation of Special Initiative Police Station Protocols, Punjab Police Spokesperson

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, chaired a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office to review the performance of Police Khidmat Marakiz, Driving & Licensing Centers, and the implementation of protocols under the Special Initiative Police Stations project. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, AIG Finance Dr. Nida Umar Chattha, AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi, Director Audit, and other senior officers. Additional IG South Punjab, along with RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs, participated in the meeting via video link.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, IG Punjab announced that appreciation letters will be awarded to CPOs and DPOs demonstrating exceptional performance in citizen service delivery. Those receiving commendation include CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani, DPO Jhelum Tariq Aziz, DPO Muzaffargarh Rizwan Ahmed Khan, DPO Okara Muhammad Rashid, DPO Toba Tek Singh Ibadat Nisar, DPO Chiniot Abdullah Ahmad, among others. Emphasizing enhanced citizen facilitation, IG Punjab directed all police service centers to further improve the quality and accessibility of services. He instructed that proactive measures be taken to ensure maximum public benefit from the facilities at Police Khidmat Marakiz.

He underscored the importance of strict adherence to core protocols at Special Initiative Police Stations and directed that children of police martyrs, students, and members of the public from various walks of life be encouraged to visit the Khidmat Marakiz for awareness and engagement. IG also instructed that the Smart Police Stations and Safe Cities projects must be completed within their defined timelines. Furthermore, he emphasized expanding the scope of welfare initiatives to ensure comprehensive support for police personnel and the families of martyred officers. Dr. Usman Anwar concluded by directing RPOs and DPOs to conduct regular inspections of Police Khidmat Marakiz and Special Initiative Police Stations to ensure continued service excellence and operational compliance.
