Central Police Office: Rank Pinning Ceremony for Traffic Officers (TOs) Promoted to Grade 17

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Pins Promotion Ranks on 46 Traffic Officers (TOs)

On the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a rank pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office for Traffic Officers (TOs) promoted to Grade 17. IG Punjab personally pinned the promotion ranks on 46 Traffic Officers. IG graced the ceremony dressed in the official traffic police uniform. IG Punjab extended heartfelt congratulations to the promoted officers and instructed them to perform their duties with increased dedication and professionalism. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, traffic officers from Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan were among those who received their promotion ranks. A large number of parents, family members, and relatives participated in the ceremony to celebrate the officers’ achievements.

IG Punjab issued directives for the newly promoted officers to undergo a seven-day Traffic Command and Management Course prior to their field postings. To enhance the grooming and supervisory roles of District Traffic Officers, the course will also be made available online. Senior officers and subject experts will deliver lectures to the officers focusing on leadership roles and effective traffic management strategies.

IG Punjab said that the infrastructure, service structure, and promotion framework within the Traffic Police have been significantly improved. He emphasized the importance of providing top-quality services to citizens on the roads and at traffic licensing centers. A well-coordinated traffic system and effective enforcement of traffic laws are a reflection of state governance and a hallmark of a civilized nation,” he stated. He further highlighted that the conduct of traffic police on the roads is of great significance, and that through professionalism, the traffic police represent the entire department.

The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG Traffic Mirza Farhan Baig, DIG Establishment-I Dr. Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, SSP Traffic Headquarters Punjab Syed Ghazanfar Ali, and AIG Finance Dr. Nida Umar Chattha.
