Jumma Mubarak: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to enhance security across the province.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed to enhance security across the province including Lahore on the occasion of Jumma Mubarak. IG Punjab stressed ensuring the foolproof security of mosques, imam bargahs, shrines, and important places. IG Punjab said that religious places play a vital role in the reformation of society and the provision of peace and justice. He instructed RPOs, DPOs, and senior officers to visit local mosques on the occasion of Jumma Mubarak, and after the Friday prayer, police officers should listen to the issues of the citizens in the mosques.
IG Punjab said that according to the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques are being made centers of community engagement. The need and importance of mosques in the reformation, construction, and development of society is extremely significant. IG Punjab said that senior officers should listen to the issues of citizens at their doorstep through mosques, and citizens should also be informed about the services and facilities being provided by the police.
