IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Chaired an important Meeting, Promotion Matters of Legal Officers were discussed.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office to deliberate on matters pertaining to the promotion of legal officers. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIGs Legal Asif Ali Sheikh and Saleem Chughtai, along with DSPs Legal.
IG Punjab reviewed the performance of legal officers and held discussions regarding their promotion to higher ranks. He called for actionable and practical proposals for the promotion of legal officers to the rank of SP. IG Punjab emphasized that legal officers play a pivotal role in handling legal affairs within the Punjab Police. He further said that, similar to other units and formations of Punjab Police, it is essential to enhance the service and promotion structure of the legal cadre. IG Punjab also directed the legal officers to bring further improvements in the execution of legal responsibilities.
