An amount exceeding Rs. 523.937 million spent on the welfare of the force in the first three months of the current year, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues to take remarkable initiatives for the welfare of the police force and their families. In continuation of these efforts, more than Rs. 523.937 million have been spent on the welfare of the force during the first three months of the current year.
Punjab Police spokesperson, while sharing the details, said that more than Rs. 164.137 million have been disbursed as educational scholarships for the children of police personnel. An amount of Rs. 104.8 million was given as wedding gifts to the daughters of police employees. To assist in medical treatment, more than Rs. 94.932 million were released. Over Rs. 93.639 million were provided to the families of police personnel under maintenance allowance. More than Rs. 49.634 million were released under retirement grants to police employees. An amount of Rs. 10.6 million was given to the families of the force under funeral expenses, and over Rs. 6.192 million were disbursed to the police force as immediate financial assistance. IG Punjab instructed that the difficulties of the employees are being resolved through the income generated from the Police Welfare Fund and departmental welfare sources.
