Another brave son of Punjab Police Rawalpindi embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
Funeral prayer of martyred Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat offered at Police Lines Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat of Punjab Police Rawalpindi. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat was injured a week ago during an operation in Swabi to recover a kidnapped individual. He succumbed to his injuries today while under treatment at the hospital. During the operation, the abducted citizen, Abbas Ali, was safely recovered and one kidnapper was arrested. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, paid heartfelt tribute to the sacrifice of the martyred officer. IG Punjab said that in this hour of grief, the police stand firmly with the martyr’s family. He assured that the family will not be left alone and their welfare will be fully taken care of.
The funeral prayer of Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat was offered at Police Lines Headquarters, Rawalpindi. Smartly dressed police contingents and officers presented a guard of honor and laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s body. The funeral was attended by RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa, Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani, senior officers of the Pakistan Army, SSP Operations, SP Headquarters, Divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, police officers and personnel, and a large number of citizens. Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat is survived by his mother, a brother, and two sisters. RPO Rawalpindi said that the martyrs are our benefactors whose sacrifices are unforgettable. CPO Rawalpindi mentioned that the martyr's family is like our own family. After the funeral prayer, the body of the martyred Sub-Inspector Haroon Hayat was sent to his native town, Choa Saidan Shah, District Chakwal, with full state honors.
