Drug-Free Punjab: 1,428 Raids were conducted on Drug Dealers' hideouts across the Province in the Past Week

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, as part of the Drug-Free Punjab vision, a total of 1,428 raids were conducted on drug dealers' dens across the province, including Lahore, over the past week. During these operations, 780 drug dealers were arrested and cases were registered. Punjab Police spokesperson said that 335 kilograms of charas, 38 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), 37 kilograms of heroin, and 33,619 liters of liquor and other narcotics were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers be continued. While giving directives to the officers, IG Punjab emphasized the complete dismantling of the drug supply chain and the arrest of those involved in online drug trading. Intelligence-based operations around educational institutions and hostels should be further intensified.
