Punjab Police rewarding officers and personnel for foiling a terrorist attack at Lakhani Check Post
Orders Issued for Cash Rewards and Certificates of Appreciation for 37 Officers and Personnel Amounting to 740,000 Rupees, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has issued orders for cash rewards and certificates of appreciation to recognize the courage and bravery of the officers and personnel who secured the country's internal borders. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, stating that IG Punjab has approved cash rewards of 740,000 rupees and certificates of appreciation for 37 officers and personnel who thwarted a terrorist attack by khawarji terrorists at the Lakhani check post. It is worth noting that these officers and personnel successfully prevented the attack on March 28. During the search operation, the death of two terrorists was confirmed, and a large number of terrorists were reported to be wounded.
Dr. Usman Anwar, IG Punjab, expressed that the bravery displayed by these officers and personnel in foiling the khawarji terrorist attack is commendable and a matter of pride. He reaffirmed that the Punjab Police is alert and will not allow khawarji terrorists to enter Punjab. He added that every officer of the Punjab Police is a steel wall against terrorists, troublemakers, and criminals. The Punjab government has also provided the latest weapons to interprovincial border check posts, and bulletproof single and double cabin vehicles are being given to personnel on duty in hard areas. Punjab Police has successfully thwarted dozens of terrorist attacks in the past as well.
The spokesperson further added that each officer and personnel received a cash reward of 20,000 rupees and certificates of appreciation. The recipients of these rewards include 18 from Dera Ghazi Khan, 5 from Multan, 3 each from Faisalabad and Khanewal, 2 from Gujarat, and 1 each from Vehari, Gujranwala, Muzaffargarh, Nankana Sahib, Tele and Elite forces.
