IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Reviewed Ongoing Actions Against Kacha Criminals. Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, DPOs Briefed on Ongoing Intelligence-Based Operations Against Kacha Criminals.
An important meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting was attended by Additional IG CTD Wasim Sial, Additional IG Crime Control Department Sohail Zafar Chatha, Additional IG Special Branch Rao Abdul Kareem, and AIG Operations Sajid Khokhar. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar reviewed the ongoing actions against kacha criminals. On this occasion, Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, and DPOs briefed about the ongoing intelligence-based operations against kacha criminals. IG Punjab said that decisive action should be taken against kacha criminals after thorough planning, strategy, and preparation. Identifying the right targets, effective use of resources, and technology is the key to success against kacha criminals. The use of drone technology, armored vehicles, and modern weapons and equipment in operations against kacha criminals was also reviewed in the mssting.
IG Punjab also instructed continuing the crackdown against the facilitators of kacha criminals, stating that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has provided ample resources to Punjab Police to eliminate kacha criminals. In Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur, police vehicles have been bulletproofed, thermal cameras, quadcopters, and modern weapons and technology have been provided. IG Punjab directed the officers to take effective and result-oriented action against the kacha criminals with head money. Action should be taken with proper coordination, strategy, and preparation in collaboration with Sindh Police against kacha criminals. Additional IG South Punjab Muhammad Kamran Khan, RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Captain (Retd.) Sajad Hassan Khan, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, and DPO Rajanpur participated in the meeting via video link.
