IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Visited Punjab Safe Cities Authority Headquarters on Eid-ul-Fitr

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority Headquarters on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He embraced Police Communication Officers and staff and extended Eid greetings. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also distributed sweets among the staff and officers of the Safe Cities Authority. IG Punjab said that he salutes every officer who sacrifices their own happiness for the sake of others’ joy. He further remarked that the dedication and sense of duty of the staff on duty during the Eid holidays are commendable. Dr. Usman Anwar acknowledged that the Safe Cities staff and Police Communication Officers are actively engaged in ensuring the security of the city. He also appreciated the commitment of officers celebrating Eid away from their loved ones. The spokesperson of Punjab Police shared that Safe City cameras installed across the city are continuously monitoring round the clock. IG Punjab further said that all major cities of the province are being transformed into Safe Cities, and the scope of this initiative will be expanded to 140 tehsils. He added that the expansion of Safe City Authority projects will create further employment and development opportunities.
