Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer Offered at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, Lahore,

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, offered the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh. On this occasion, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, CPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Additional IG Investigation Azhar Akram, IG Motorway Raja Riffat Mukhtar, Additional IG CTD Waseem Sial, DIG/CTO Traffic Athar Waheed, Additional IGs, DIGs, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran, SSPs, SPs, along with retired and serving senior police officers and personnel, participated in the prayer. After the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer, special prayers were offered for the development, security, and prosperity of the country. On this occasion, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute at the Police Martyrs' Memorial. He laid a floral wreath at the memorial and recited Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police personnel have attained the great honor of martyrdom in the line of duty for the protection of citizens and maintaining peace. He emphasized that it is due to the immense sacrifices of the police martyrs that we are breathing in an atmosphere of peace today. IG Punjab also highlighted that security across the provincial capital and the entire province remains on high alert during Eid-ul-Fitr. Punjab Police is ensuring full security at places of worship, key locations, and for the general public. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that more than 52,000 officers and personnel of Punjab Police are performing security duties.
