More than Rs. 718 million disbursed for thalassemia and cerebral palsy-affected children and maintenence allowance.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken another commendable step for the welfare of the force ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr by approving the disbursement of over Rs. 718 million as medical welfare allowance for children affected by thalassemia and cerebral palsy and maintenence allowance for families. Providing details, Punjab Police spokesperson said that Rs. 7.65 million has been allocated for 157 children of police employees suffering from thalassemia. Additionally, over Rs. 186 million has been disbursed for approximately 621 children of police personnel affected by cerebral palsy. Similarly, over Rs. 461 million has been distributed among 1,146 families as a maintenence allowance. DIG Welfare & Finance, Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, shared that these welfare funds have been transferred to the bank accounts of police employees. IG Punjab emphasized that Punjab Police stands with the families of its martyrs and employees in their Eid celebrations. He further assured that, in addition to these welfare funds, the disbursement of Eid gifts and financial assistance to the families of martyrs and police personnel has also been ensured before Eid-ul-Fitr.
