Another Good initiative of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, two more hearing-impaired girls of police employees have successfully completed their cochlear implant surgeries. On the instructions of IG Punjab, AIG Welfare Abdul Rahim Shirazi went to a private hospital to meet the recovering girls Aliza Imran and Horain Zainab after cochlear implant surgeries. AIG Welfare said that the cochlear implant surgery of the daughters of police officers Muhammad Imran and Rawal Mumtaz has been successfully completed. After post-surgery treatment, both the girls will be able to hear and lead a normal life. With the special efforts of IG Punjab, cochlear implant surgery is being done for hearing-impaired children with the cooperation of government and private hospitals. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has so far performed cochlear implant surgery on 33 hearing-impaired children of its employees. Rs 5 crore 84 lakh and 40 thousands has been spent on cochlear implant surgeries of children so far. IG Punjab further said that the department is increasing resources for the health welfare of police employees and their families.
