Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar chaired video link orderly room. DIG Establishment-I, Suleman Sultan Rana, was present on the occasion, while 49 Sub-Inspectors serving in various districts, units, and wings of Punjab participated via video link. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that during the meeting, officers who had been deprived of promotions in previous promotion boards presented their appeals. The appeals of 27 Sub-Inspectors, who had been deprived of promotions, were approved, and their cases will be considered in the next promotion board.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the process of promotions in Punjab Police continues uninterrupted based on merit, seniority, and transparency. He emphasized that in the promotion of officers, transparent career records, complete documentation, field experience, and intelligence reports are of key importance. IG Punjab further added that officers aspiring for promotion to various positions should maintain their ACRs and other records, and serve the country and the nation with integrity.
