On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Traffic Police is fully engaged in enforcing laws on the roads and providing traffic facilities including issuing licenses to the public, as a result of which more than 159 thousand people were issued driving licenses during the week. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that more than 225 thousand challans and fines of Rs. 114 million were issued for violation of traffic rules. Challans were issued to 06 thousand 818 vehicles emitting smoke, while 547 vehicles were impounded in police stations. Licenses were issued to 14903 people during the week in the provincial capital Lahore. Challans were issued to 92,241 vehicles, fines of more than 49 million rupees, while fines were imposed on 507 vehicles emitting smoke.
