Punjab Police ensuring swift actions against Criminal Elements, 206 Gang Members Arrested in One Week,
2,332 Proclaimed Offenders, 1,009 Judicial Absconders, 410 Habitual Offenders Arrested, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Under the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police's operations against criminal elements continue. In this regard, during the past week, 206 members of 91 gangs were arrested, along with 2,332 proclaimed offenders, 1,009 judicial absconders, and 410 habitual offenders. Spokesperson of Punjab Police, while sharing the details, said that from the possession of the arrested criminals, 21 Kalashnikovs, 632 pistols, 51 rifles, 64 shotguns, 5 revolvers, and thousands of rounds of ammunition were recovered. In addition, 12 vehicles, 292 motorcycles, 144 mobile phones, 35 livestock, and 49 million rupees in cash were also seized. The spokesperson further shared that during the operations against criminal elements, 16 criminals were arrested in injured condition, while 2 police officials were also injured. Over 1,000 drug dealers were arrested, leading to the registration of 1,012 cases. A total of 41 kilograms of ice, 572 kilograms of charas, 57 kilograms of heroin, 19 kilograms of opium, and 8,724 liters of liquor were recovered.
