IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's directions: Traffic Police is engaged in enforcing laws & providing licensing facilities to the public. Spokesperson Punjab Police

 On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Traffic Police is actively engaged in enforcing laws on the roads and providing traffic facilities including issuing licenses to the public across the province. In continuation of which 24 thousand 712 driving licenses were issued to the citizens during the last 24 hours. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that 29 thousand 651 challans were issued for vehicles involved in violation of traffic laws and Rs 01 crore 60 lakh fines were imposed for violation of traffic rules. Challans were issued for 949 vehicles emitting smoke while 39 vehicles were impounded in police stations. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that action against traffic violators should be intensified. Dr. Usman Anwar said that lawbreakers who affect the flow of traffic do not deserve any concessions, while the speedy recovery of traffic challan defaulters should be ensured at all costs.
