Ongoing Welfare Initiatives for Punjab Police Force and Their Families
Over 398.8 million rupees spent on the welfare of the force in the first two months of 2025, Punjab Police spokesperson
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman, has continued to implement welfare measures for the police force and their families. As part of these initiatives, more than 398.8 million rupees have been spent on the welfare of the force during the first two months of this year. Spokesperson for the Punjab Police shared the details, that over 136.2 million rupees were spent for educational scholarships for the children of police employees. An amount of 92.03 million rupees was provided as wedding gifts to the daughters of police employees. Over 47.4 million rupees were distributed to the families of police employees in the form of a maintenance allowance. More than 69.2 million rupees were given to assist with medical treatments of employees. Over 38.8 million rupees were provided for retirement grants to police employees. An amount of 10.6 million rupees was given to the families of the force for funeral expenses. Immediate financial assistance of over 4.495 million rupees was also provided to the police force. IG Punjab emphasized that the police welfare fund is being utilized to to alleviate the difficulties of employees through income generated from departmental welfare sources.
