IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired Police Executive Board Meeting
Administrative and Policy Matters, Amendments in Laws Discussed, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Police Executive Board meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting was attended by Additional IGs, CCPO Lahore, MD Safe Cities Authority, heads of all departments and field units, DIGs, AIGs, and senior officers. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that the meeting discussed various administrative and policy matters, including proposed amendments to laws. Topics like police reforms, public safety, complaints, and recruitment were also deliberated upon. Proposed amendments to the investigation and promotion rules, establishment and upgrading of police stations and check posts were also highlighted. Heads of various units presented solid proposals and observations on the agenda and the discussed matters. IG Punjab emphasized that supervisory officers should ensure the efficient execution of administrative matters and complete development projects within the specified timelines. IG also directed that the proposals discussed in the meeting be upgraded and presented in the next meeting. He further instructed that regular meetings of the Police Executive Board be held for decision-making on important policy matters.
