As part of this, a meeting of the Promotion Board, chaired by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, was held at the Central Police Office. The Promotion Board meeting was attended by Additional IG. Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG. Special Branch Rao Abdul Karim, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, and representatives from relevant institutions, including the Home and Regulation Department. The meeting reviewed cases for promotion from DSP to SP rank. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that DSPs who meet the merit criteria and comply with rules and regulations will be promoted to the rank of SP.
