Complaint Management System (CMS)

Complaint Management System:

The Punjab Police in Pakistan has implemented a comprehensive Complaint Management System (CMS) to facilitate the public in lodging and tracking complaints. This system is operational across all police stations in Punjab and is designed to ensure transparency, efficiency, and prompt redressal of grievances.

Key Features of the Punjab Police Complaint Management System:

  • Front Desks/Reception Rooms: Established in all police stations, these are managed by trained civilian staff from the IT branch. They assist complainants in filing applications and provide an E-Tag for tracking purposes.
  • Centralized Monitoring: Once a complaint is lodged, its progress is monitored by senior supervisory officers and the Provincial Monitoring Room at the Central Police Office in Lahore until resolution.
  • Integration with Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS): All First Information Reports (FIRs) are entered into the system, and corresponding entries into various registers are automated. This integration allows supervisory officers to access detailed case information, including recovery status, witness details, and hearing dates.
  • IGP Police Complaint Center 1787: Citizens can lodge complaints via SMS or voice calls to the short code 1787. Complaints are also accepted online and through emails. A dedicated team ensures these complaints are handled promptly, and complainants can track the progress online or via SMS.

For more information or to lodge online complaint, visit Police Station or contact the IGP Police Complaint Center at 1787.
