Punjab Police Special Operations Cell’s another major success
Punjab Police Special Operations Cell has achieved great success and arrested 07 dangerous fugitive criminals wanted in dozens of serious crime incidents including extortion, banditry and robbery from the United Arab Emirates. A team of Punjab Police led by Inspector Khalid Waryah is leaving for Pakistan from Sharjah with the proclaimed criminals, who will reach Lahore Airport tonight. Spokesperson of Punjab Police, while giving details, said that the number of dangerous declared criminals extradited from abroad this year has reached 16. Proclaimed offender Sufyan Ali was wanted by Gujranwala Police in the case of police encounter, terrorism, shooting and wounding police personnel in a murderous attack. Dangerous criminal Sufyan was wanted by the police of different districts for many years in 32 cases of terrorism, extortion, robbery and banditry. Proclaimed offender Abdul Latif killed his sister-in-law in Rahim Yar Khan in 2023. Proclaimed offender Zohaib and Muhammad Jalil were wanted by Sialkot and DG Khan Police respectively in armed robbery cases.
Proclaimed offender Rameez Ashraf was wanted by Rawalpindi Police in an attempt to murder case. Proclaimed offender Ukasha Iqbal was wanted by the Sialkot Police in a case of extorting money by giving fake visas. Proclaimed criminal Muhammad Usman was involved in a case of bogus checks to the Lahore Police. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that these proclaimed offenders were arrested and brought to Pakistan, had committed crimes and fled to the United Arab Emirates. Punjab Police issued red notices for the wanted criminals from Interpol and UAE police officials handed over the all criminals to the Punjab Police team. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated RPO Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, CPO Gujranwala Rana Ayaz Saleem and DPO Sialkot for arresting the wanted criminals for heinous crimes. IG Punjab directed the officers to expedite the crackdown to arrest the dangerous fugitive criminals abroad. With the help of FIA, Interpol and other institutions, the arrest of other fugitive criminals from abroad should be further expedited.
