Mission to Provide Houses to Families of Martyred Police Officers Continues
Ceremony Held to Distribute Plots to Families of 49 Martyred Police Officers of Sahiwal Region
A large number of families of martyred police officers of Sahiwal region attended the ceremony.
IG Punjab paid tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs.
The Punjab Police's mission to provide houses to the families of martyred officers continues. In this regard, a ceremony was held to distribute plots to the families of 49 martyred police officers of the Sahiwal region. Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, was the chief guest. Members of the National and Provincial Assembly, Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed, and the Deputy Commissioners of the three districts of Sahiwal region participated. A large number of families of martyred police officers were also present at the event.
IG Punjab paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and expressed special gratitude to social figure Tariq Farishta for his contributions in providing plots for police martyrs. Providing further details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police stated that the ownership papers of the plots were distributed among the families of 24 martyrs from Okara, 20 from Pakpattan, and 5 from Sahiwal district.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sahiwal, Mehboob Rasheed, highlighted that plots had already been provided to the families of all 76 martyrs of Sahiwal region before 2017. IG Punjab further stated that before 2017, plots were allocated to the families of 701 martyred police officers from different districts of Punjab. Additionally, Punjab Police has allocated Rs. 49 million from its own resources for the construction of houses on these plots.
Dr. Usman Anwar commended the efforts of RPO Sahiwal and the District Police Officers (DPOs) of the three districts for successfully arranging plots for the families of the martyred police officers. The ceremony was attended by RPO Sahiwal Mehboob Rasheed, DIG Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, DPO Sahiwal Rana Tahir Rehman Khan, DPO Okara Muhammad Rashid Hidayat, DPO Pakpattan Javed Iqbal Chadhar, and other senior officers.
