Mission for the Recovery of Hearing-Impaired Children of Police Employees
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has approved funds of 8.3 million rupees for cochlear implant surgery for the children of 5 police employees.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is ensuring the mission for recovery of hearing-impaired children of police employees. In this regard, funds amounting to 8.3 million rupees have been released for the cochlear implant surgery of the children of five police employees. Dr. Usman Anwar said that previously, cochlear implant surgeries have been successfully carried out for 28 children of police employees. The cochlear implant surgery will enable special children to hear normally and live their lives more independently.
Spokesperson for Punjab Police provided further details, mentioning that funds of 1.66 million rupees per child have been released for the cochlear implant surgery of the following children: 4-year-old daughter of Sub-Inspector Azam Ali, 3-year-old son of Senior Traffic Warden Muhammad Ali Nair, 3-year-old daughter of Head Constable Muhammad Hussnain, 7-year-old son of Head Constable Imdad Hussain, and 3-year-old daughter of Constable Aqeel Ahmed. The surgeries will be conducted at Evercare Hospital in Lahore.
Under the "Hamary Phool" project, initiatives for the welfare and healthcare of police employees' children will continue. Dr. Usman Anwar also mentioned that children suffering from thalassemia and cerebral palsy are being provided with a monthly stipend of 10,000 rupees for their treatment.
