Punjab Police committed to the best health welfare of its force and their families

Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released another Rs 3.4 million for the treatment of employees suffering from serious illnesses and their families. While giving details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that Rs 1.4 million was released for cornea transplant to retired driver constable Asghar Ali, while Rs 0.5 million was given to SP Irfan Amir for eye treatment. Similarly, Corporal Saif Tariq was given Rs 2.5 lakh for his wife’s cancer treatment and Driver Constable Tariq Azam was given Rs 2 lakh for open heart surgery. In addition, Traffic Warden Muhammad Abdullah and the widow of retired Sub-Inspector Mehboob Hussain were given Rs 1 lakh each for treatment, while Inspector Sher Muhammad, Constable Maroof Iqbal and retired Sub-Inspector Jawad Waseem were given Rs 1 lakh each for treatment. Similarly, retired Inspector Azhar Iqbal and Head Constable Muzaffar Ali were given Rs 1 lakh each for treatment, while ASI Shamim Tariq, Constable Asif Ali, Constable Ashfaq Hussain and Inspector Umar Farooq were given a total of Rs 620,000 for treatment expenditures. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while approving the release of the fund after the scrutiny of the Medical Financial Assistance Committee, said that modern medical treatment facilities are also being provided to the employees under MOUs with various institutions.
