Punjab Government has released an amount of Rs.60 Crore for establishing 100 Model Police Stations across the province, in addition to that, 10 thousand fresh Policemen will annually be recruited in the Punjab Police Force.

This was stated by the Inspector General of Police, Punjab while addressing the Police Darbar and the media representatives at Police Line, Bahawalpur, today. RPO Bahawalpur, Capt. (R) Syed Muhammad Abid Qadri and all police officers/officials of the region were present on this occasion.

IGP further said that special campaign will be started from next month to arrest top twenty proclaimed offenders from every district and for this purpose lists have already been finalized.

Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman told that the Police Department is being reorganized on modern scale and we hope to combine investigation with the operation. He said that at district level DPO, and SHO at Police Station level will lookafter the operations and investigations simultaneously. IGP said that promotion board of DSPs to SP level will be held tomorrow and later on, the promotion of Police Inspectors to DSP will be finalized.

IGP stressed upon the senior police officers to hold open courts regularly in remote areas so that the grievances of the people could be redressed at their hometowns.

Earlier IGP, Punjab has announced an Umrah Ticket for Hafiz Farrukh Ijaz for presenting impressive recitation of “Naat” at Police Darbar.
