More than 11,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the province, including Lahore, on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Spokesperson Punjab Police

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police has completed security arrangements on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. IG Punjab said that security will be on high alert on Kashmir Solidarity Day and a close watch will be kept on mischievous and anti-national elements, foolproof security will be provided to the Kashmir Solidarity Day celebrations and citizens. While giving details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, more than 11,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the province, including Lahore, for security and traffic arrangements. 175 gazetted officers, 240 inspectors, 600 sub-inspectors and 948 ASIs will perform security duties, while 702 head constables, 08,000 constables and 300 lady personnel will also be on security duty. All activities will be fully monitored through the cameras of the Safe Cities Authority. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that foolproof security will be provided to 448 programs on Kashmir Solidarity Day across the province, including Lahore. 346 rallies, 84 seminars and 23 other events will be organized on Kashmir Solidarity Day. IG Punjab directed CCPO Lahore, RPOs, CPOs and DPOs to supervise the security and traffic arrangements of Kashmir Solidarity Day events themselves. Dr. Usman Anwar said that metal detectors and walk-through gates should be installed at the entry points of the events, while the police, special branch, patrolling, dolphin squad, PRU and traffic police should ensure the best arrangements.
