Jumma Mubarak, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to enhance security across the province
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed to increase security across the province, including Lahore and emphasized ensuring the security of mosques, imambargahs, shrines, and other important locations. He said that the religious leaders play a vital role in the reform of society and the provision of peace and justice. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed RPOs, DPOs and senior officers to visit local mosques on Jumma-tul-Mubarak. He instructed police officers to listen to the issues of citizens in mosques after the Friday prayers. IG Punjab emphasized that in line with the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques are being established as centers of community engagement. The role of mosques in the reform, development, and progress of society is extremely important. IG Punjab further said that senior officers should listen to citizens' concerns at the doorstep of their homes through mosques and inform them about the services and facilities provided by the Punjab police.
