IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar active ensuring the best welfare of Police Martyrs' Families
IGP Punjab gave another home to the Family of a Police Officer Who sacrificed His Life in the Line of Duty.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is actively working for the best welfare of the families of police martyrs. In continuation of this, the family of another police officer who sacrificed his life in the line of duty has been provided with a home. According to details, the family of martyr Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood has been given a house worth 1 crore 35 lakh rupees under the martyr quota. The house was purchased according to the preferences of the martyr’s family on Sheikhupura Road, Ferozewala, Sheikhupura. Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood was martyred in March last year while on duty. The martyr’s family consists of his wife and four sons. On the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government allocated funds for the martyr’s family’s house.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tributes to Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood’s eternal sacrifice. IG Punjab said that Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood laid down his life without concern for his own safety while performing his duties. He further said that the Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of its brave martyrs as Punjab Police is the custodian of over 1650 brave martyrs like Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood.
