IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Actively Working for the Welfare of Police Martyrs' Families

Another police martyr's family is provided with a house in recognition of their sacrifice in the line of duty.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is actively working for the welfare of the families of police martyrs. As part of this initiative, the family of another police martyr has been provided with a house. Dr. Usman Anwar gave a house worth 13.5 million rupees from the martyr's quota to the family of Constable Asghar Ali, a martyr from Faisalabad Police. The house was purchased according to the family’s preference on Satyana Road in Faisalabad. Constable Asghar Ali sacrificed his life in 2018 during a raid when he was shot and martyred. The martyr's family includes his wife. Punjab Police spokesperson said that, upon the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government released funds for the martyr's family's house. Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute to the selfless sacrifice of Constable Asghar Ali, stating that he embraced martyrdom while performing his duties without any regard for his life. He further said that Punjab Police is the custodian of over 1,650 brave martyrs like Constable Asghar Ali and will never forget the sacrifices made by its courageous martyrs.
