Mission to eradicate heinous Crimes: Punjab Police Actively eradicating Dangerous Criminals Across the Province in 2025

In the first 16 days of this year, 142 gangs involved in serious crimes have been eliminated.

Under the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police continues its mission to eliminate heinous crimes this year and is actively working to eradicate the dangerous criminals across the province.  Punjab Police spokesperson shared that in the first 16 days of this year, 142 criminal gangs involved in serious crimes were busted. A total of 311 criminals belonging to criminal gangs were arrested across the province, including Lahore and property worth over 70 million rupees (stolen goods) was recovered from their possession. The stolen goods include 17 vehicles, 310 motorcycles, 19 tolas of gold, 152 mobile phones, and 19 livestock, which have been returned to their rightful owners. Additionally, more than 21 million rupees in cash was recovered from criminals involved in various crimes. 

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, appreciated the police teams for their outstanding performance in suppressing dangerous gangs. He also directed to intensify the operations to completely eradicate organized crime. He instructed that professional criminals involved in robberies, murders, abductions, and other serious crimes be brought to justice. Effective planning and targeted operations should be carried out in hotspot areas to eliminate criminals. IG Punjab further emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and properties and to combat crime effectively.
