Welfare of Police Martyrs' Families Remains a Top Priority, Housing Provision Continues 

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Provided a House Worth 13.5 Million Rupees to the Family of Martyr Constable Hafiz Muhammad Nouman of Lahore Dolphin Squad  

The welfare of police martyrs' families continues to be a top priority for Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, in the current year as well, with the ongoing provision of homes for them. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has gifted a house worth Rs. 13.5 million Rupees to the family of martyred Constable Hafiz Muhammad Nouman of Lahore Dolphin Squad. He further mentioned that the martyr’s family was provided a house in a private housing scheme in Lahore, according to their preference. Constable Muhammad Nouman had laid down his life last year while safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens during a shootout with robbers. The martyr is survived by his wife and one daughter. 

Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details that, following the special initiative of IG Punjab, the Government of Punjab allocated funds for the purchase of a house for the martyr’s family. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, paid tribute to Constable Muhammad Nouman’s unparalleled sacrifice. IG Punjab said that the constable embraced martyrdom while performing his duties, without concern for his own life. He added that last year, the Punjab Government approved the purchase of houses for the families of 27 police martyrs. In addition, funds amounting to Rs. 3.6 crore were allocated for the purchase of 170 plots and the construction of houses for the families of martyrs prior to 2017.  IG Punjab emphasized that Punjab Police is the guardian of over 1,650 brave martyrs, like Constable Muhammad Nouman and assured that the sacrifices made by these martyrs will never be forgotten.
