LAHORE. Akram Park police post under the Islamapura Police Station has apprehended the main suspect involved in a recent rob- bery and shooting incident, along with an accomplice who facilitated his escape. The spokesperson revealed that the accused, identified as Nihal, had shot and injured a citizen in the leg during a robbery at a mobile shop. His accomplice, Malaika Bibi, helped him evade the authorities. The suspects were arrested during an operation conducted by the Akram Park police. The investigation relied heavily on CCTV footage, which captured the suspect committing the crime. The footage also showed the female accomplice joining him to shield him from detection. Police have recovered the stolen cash and mobile phones, along with the vehicle used in the crime. The arrested individuals are now in police custody, and further investigation is under- way to determine their involvement in other criminal activities.
