Punjab Police's ensuring best health Welfare of Its Employees and Their Families

Under the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the mission for the welfare of police employees and their families continues. As part of this initiative, Punjab Police has successfully arranged a kidney transplant for a constable suffering from a life-threatening kidney disease. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that Constable Tahseen Abbas from Sargodha Police had both of his kidneys failed, putting his life at risk. Under an agreement with Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute & Research Center (PKLI), Punjab Police covered all the expenses for the transplant and Constable Tahseen Abbas did not have to pay anything for the procedure. Furthermore, Constable Tahseen Abbas's wife donated a kidney. Constable Tahseen Abbas met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar at the Central Police Office, where he expressed his gratitude. Constable Tahseen Abbas is now fully recovered and is committed to serving Punjab Police and the citizens with renewed zeal and enthusiasm.
On this occasion, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin said that all expenses for the transplant and surgeries for affected police personnel are being borne by the police welfare fund to save their lives. He added that MoUs have been signed with all standard hospitals for the best medical treatment of police employees and their families. DIG Welfare further mentioned that full support is being provided for transplants, heart and major surgeries, cochlear implants for children with hearing impairments, and the provision of hearing aids. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that police employees and their families should approach their District Welfare Branches in case of any illness or difficulty. Punjab Police is always striving for the treatment, education, and welfare of its employees and their families.
