03 brothers killed, cousin injured in police station Tandlianwala Faisalabad custody

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident of killing 03 brothers and injuring their cousin in police station Tandlianwala Faisalabad custody and has sought a report from RPO Faisalabad. IG Punjab ordered the CPO Faisalabad to immediately arrest the accused involved in the firing, after which the SP Investigation Faisalabad and CIA teams took 06 suspects involved in the firing into custody. While giving details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the murder was a result of an old enmity and the deceased were accused of killing members of the Kharal community. The deceased Usman, Nasir and cousin Asif were arrested by the City Tandlianwala Police in a murder and terrorism case. The spokesperson further said that due to the long-standing enmity of the accused and to keep them safe, they were locked up in the Saddar Tandlianwala Police Station instead of the City. He further said that early in the morning 05/06, unknown accused entered the police station by climbing a ladder from the rear wall of the police station. On seeing the accused, the security constable of the police station on duty opened fire, after which the armed men started firing on police and on the accused in custody. Three people from the Sukhera community were killed in indiscriminate firing on the accused, Asif was seriously injured and fled while firing. As soon as the incident was reported, CPO Kamran Adil immediately reached the spot along with senior officers and a large contingent of police. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has formed a high-profile inquiry committee headed by DIG Intelligence Special Branch Faisal Ali Raja to investigate. AIG Operations Punjab Zahid Nawaz Marwat and AIG Complaints Ehsan Ullah Chauhan were elected as members of the inquiry committee. On the orders of IG Punjab, the members of the inquiry committee immediately left for Tandlianwala, Faisalabad. The inquiry committee will submit a report after identifying those responsible for the attack on Sadar Tandlianwala Police Station and negligence in security.
