Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz, a Flagship Project, Provide Record Services to Citizens in 2024
Over 2.6 million citizens availed themselves of police-related services from the Khidmat Marakaz, according to the Punjab Police spokesperson.
Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz, a flagship public service initiative, delivered record-breaking services to citizens in 2024.
The spokesperson Punjab Police stated that more than 2.6 million citizens benefited from various police-related services provided by these centres.
Highlights of the services included the issuance of 1.139 million General Police Verification، processing of 733,388 Police Character Certificates, 231,000 Tenancy Registrations.
Moreover, legal and social protection was extended to 104,000 citizens, particularly those from vulnerable segments of society and copies of 120,000 First Information Reports (FIRs) were issued.
As many as 81,000 reports of lost documents were registered and 154,000 Medicolegal Certificates were provided.
At least 4,500 police verifications were also conducted for private employees in homes, industrial, and commercial establishments.
The other services included 31,000 vehicle verifications, 250 cases of violence against women were reported under the Women Violence Report system and registrations of 1,812 employees through the Registration of Employees (ROPE) initiative for employment in private institutions.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, highlighted that citizens across the province, including Lahore, are increasingly benefiting from the facilities provided by these service centres. He described the Police Khidmat Marakaz as an exemplary public service delivery initiative.
“The service centres continue to evolve to meet the needs of the public,” said Dr. Anwar. “With upgraded facilities and 24/7 operations, we are committed to ensuring efficient and accessible services for all citizens.
