IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Continues to Provide Houses to Families of Police Martyrs in 2025

Inspector General of Police (IG) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues his initiative to provide houses to the families of police martyrs in 2025. The IG Punjab has handed over a house worth Rs. 1.35 crore to the family of Shaheed Constable Ishaq Ahmed from Rahim Yar Khan.

The family of the martyr was provided with a house of their choice, purchased in a private housing scheme in Rahim Yar Khan. While sharing details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police stated that Constable Muhammad Ishaq was martyred during a crossfire incident in June last year. His surviving family members include his wife and four daughters.

Due to the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government released funds to secure a house for the martyr's family. Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Constable Muhammad Ishaq Shaheed, stating that he laid down his life in the line of duty, showing unparalleled courage and dedication.

Last year, approval was obtained from the Punjab government for the purchase of houses for the families of 27 police martyrs. Additionally, 170 plots were provided to the families of police martyrs before 2017, and funds amounting to Rs. 11 billion were disbursed to support these families.

IG Punjab emphasised that the Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of its valiant martyrs. He further stated that the Punjab Police is the custodian of the legacy of more than 1,650 brave martyrs like Constable Muhammad Ishaq, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
