104 Dangerous Fugitives and proclaimed offenders Wanted for Serious Crimes extradited from abroad to Pakistan
Punjab Police has released its performance report for the year 2024 regarding the arrest of wanted criminals. According to the details, over 137,000 fugitives and proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes were arrested across the province, including Lahore. Additionally, 104 dangerous fugitives who were wanted for serious crimes and were evading justice abroad were arrested and transferred to Pakistan. Further details reveal that more than 26,000 A-category and over 111,000 B-category criminals were arrested in 2024. Furthermore, more than 66,000 judicial absconders were also apprehended. Out of these, 6,907 A-category and 59,373 B-category judicial absconders were arrested. During intelligence-based operations, more than 35,000 habitual offenders (target offenders) were arrested, including 15,154 from A-category and 20,485 from B-category. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised the police teams for their successful operations against the fugitives. IGP Punjab said that a vigorous crackdown against wanted criminals will continue this year as well. He emphasized that through effective investigations, cases will be completed swiftly and criminals will be given their due punishments.
