Christian Leaders' Delegation visited the Central Police Office
8-Member Christian Leaders' Delegation Meets Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan
A delegation of Christian leaders visited the Central Police Office and met with Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan. The delegation included Chairman of the Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony, Kamran Pervez Chaudhry, Pastor Shahzad Siddique, Pastor Asif Khokhar, Pastor Azhar Siddique, Saleem Sindhu, Shoukat Gill, Zunaira Sindhu, and Nasir Jamil. The delegation appreciated the security measures provided by Punjab Police at churches and for the Christian community during Christmas and informed the Additional IG Operations Punjab of the issues they were facing. In response, Additional IG Operations assured the delegation that all issues would be resolved on a priority basis.
During the meeting, Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan, said that full security was provided to churches and the Christian community during Christmas. He said that the Christian community plays a key role in the development and peace of Pakistan. He further added that Christian officials deployed at Meesaq Centers are resolving the issues of minority citizens on a priority basis. Shahzada Sultan also remarked that Christian employees serving in Punjab Police are a valuable asset to the department and that all religions across Punjab and the country enjoy complete freedom to practice their beliefs. The delegation thanked Punjab Police for the measures taken for the Christian community.
