IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conferred the rank of Inspector to 24 officers who were promoted.
As per the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office Lahore, where officers promoted from Sub-Inspector to the rank of Inspector were conferred their new ranks. In the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conferred the rank of Inspector to 24 officers. The parents, children, and families of the promoted Inspectors also attended the ceremony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and other senior police officers congratulated the promoted Inspectors and their families. Inspectors from Bahawalpur, Gujrat, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Sahiwal regions were promoted and conferred their ranks during the ceremony.
Speaking at the occasion, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that this year, 383 Sub-Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Inspector, and the service structure and advanced promotion schedule for all units of the Punjab Police have already been formulated. He further said that next year, officers and personnel meeting the merit and seniority criteria will be given further promotions. The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I, Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II, Captain (Retd.) Liaquat Ali Malik, and AIG Discipline Amara Athar, along with senior officers, who conferred promotion ranks to the promoted officers.
