IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Visited Qurban Lines, Reviews Construction Work of Safe City Women Hostel
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, visited the under-construction Safe City Women Hostel at Qurban Lines, Lahore. IG Punjab reviewed the ongoing work for the hostel being built for women police communication officers of Safe City. MD Safe City, Ahsan Younas, briefed IGP Dr. Usman Anwar regarding the progress of the work. During the briefing, MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younas briefed that the women's hostel will feature areas like a game area, daycare, library, and hall, among others. He further said that a two-story women's hostel with 204 beds is being constructed in Safe City. Punjab Police spokesperson said that Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, had laid the foundation stone of the Safe City Women Hostel. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasised that the purpose of establishing the women’s hostel is to provide working women with quality residential facilities. He further added that women will remain safe at the Safe City hostel, and their parents will also be at ease. IG Punjab issued special instructions to complete the work of the Safe City Women Hostel within the stipulated time and ensure the provision of quality accommodation for women staff in Safe City.
