IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar ensuring comprehensive welfare for families of Police Martyrs

IG Punjab Provides Rs. 17.5M House to Family of ASI Muhammad Akram Shaheed

Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar has continued the initiative of providing welfare and houses to the families of police martyrs. In this regard, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar handed over a house worth Rs. 17.5 million to the family of ASI Muhammad Akram Shaheed of Kasur Police. The house was purchased in a private housing society according to family choice (Bairun Jadeed Urban Gulberg Colony, Kasur) and handed over to the martyr's family.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, ASI Muhammad Akram embraced martyrdom in March this year during an operation when he was fired upon by criminal elements. The martyr is survived by his wife and four sons. On the special initiative of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government released funds for the house for the martyr’s family.

Paying rich tributes to the unparalleled sacrifice of ASI Muhammad Akram Shaheed, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that ASI Muhammad Akram sacrificed his life without hesitation while protecting the lives and property of citizens. He added that Punjab Police would never forget the sacrifices of its brave martyrs.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that Punjab Police is a custodian of the legacy of over 1,650 brave martyrs like ASI Muhammad Akram Shaheed and will continue to take further measures for their welfare.
